Together with a team in which I participated some time ago, we discovered that we had some problems when we delivered feedback, many times we did it only as criticism or only as judgments about what we were doing to the other, first we started using a model called SBI and then that a couple of us attended a Management 3.0 course we came up with using Feedback wrap.
First we review the feedback wrap structure as a whole.
1.- Describe the context
2.- List the observations
3.- Express your emotions
4.- Sort by value
5.- End with suggestions
Then we invite each other to put together couples to give us feedback and give ourselves some time to write it individually, on that occasion we did it with a facilitator who helped with the doubts regarding the technique of the tool.
After that we deliver the feedback and after that we share how was the experience of both delivering feedback and receiving.
Additionally, after feedback wrap, we complement it with effective commitments that way it could help improve as a team.
