Some time ago I was supporting four teams in a telecommunications company, one of them was strategy and the others of products, they asked me if I knew any tool that would help them change the structure of what they were currently doing and I told them that there was a tool called Meddlers of M 3.0.
The first was to talk about what their expectations of the exercise were and it was for them a team and how we could get better results.
We design this ideal team (s) with the corresponding roles, without impeding ourselves, taking it to the ideal situation.
Then we visualize the current situation, both with roles and people. From there some findings have already appeared regarding some roles that were not in the team or people who were carrying more than one role.
Finally we were including the current team members in the ideal situation, highlighting the roles that were not covered and / or the people who still had more than one role. From this we prioritize, estimate and plan how we were going to implement these changes.
